TEEN INTEGRITY - Teachers

Dear Teachers,

Teen Integrity is a compelling presentation of the message of building healthy relationships. The message emphasizes the emotional, physical, and social benefits of getting to know someone. From classrooms to assemblies, the message is presented through personal stories, statistics, and dynamic oratory. Teen Integrity educates teens on the risks of premarital sex and empowers them to make informed choices about their bodies and futures.

Teen Integrity's purpose is to teach the importance of building satisfying and mature relationships free from sexual transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancy, and heartache. We desire to educate and train the community about sexual integrity and relationship skills so teenager have a consistent message from those with whom they interact.

Your Students Will …

Set goals for their future and list ways how sexual activity, now as teens, could jeopardize those goals.
Identify the most common STDs, how they are contracted, the symptoms to look for, and methods of prevention.
Hear stories of those who set boundaries and chose to exercise sexual self-control. Students will begin to set their own boundaries and make lists of the qualities that they want in a dating relationship.
Examine the media messages of their generation and learn to filter out negative influences.
Have an opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session at the end of each presentation.

A typical presentation usually lasts fifty minutes. Our program is most effective when combined with a health or life-skills or health class, and continued for a series of days.

What age is Teen Integrity appropriate for?

Teen Integrity is designed for public and private junior high and high school students. All presentations are culturally sensitive, age-appropriate and tailored to the group that is being addressed.

Is this an abstinence-only program?

Yes. We exclusively promote abstinence until marriage. However, Teen Integrity offers information on the effectiveness of condoms and other birth control methods in an effort to empower teenagers to make healthy decisions for their future. We recognize there are emotional, physical, and social risks involved in both protected and unprotected sex. Teen Integrity advocates freedom from such consequences and risks. As the Medical Institute for Sexual Health reports, “condoms do not make sex safe enough for unmarried individuals or for married individuals who might be unfaithful to their spouse.”

What about teens already having sex?

Teen Integrity encourages sexually active teens to evaluate the reasons why they are having sex and to face the reality of the consequences that may follow. The Teen Integrity team is comprised of both virgins and those who have had sex in the past but have decided to start over and wait for marriage. Our personal stories are relevant and encouraging and give students a chance to re-commit to abstinence.

How much does a Teen Integrity presentation cost?

There is a suggested donation of $100 per presentation. However, it is only suggested, so please call us to discuss scholarship opportunities if necessary!
